We understand plans change, and sometimes things are simply out of your control. However, it’s really important that once your placement has been confirmed, you do everything you can to arrive on time. It is also important that you note the start and end dates of the placement prior to applying and ensure you are available for the entire duration of the placement stated on the Elder Hub. Last minute cancellations or failure to arrive can put vulnerable people(s) in danger.
If you need to change dates within a placement, please discuss this in the first instance with the family and then the alternative carer.
