Whilst on placement, you can support a care recipient to self administer medication by prompting, reminding and helping remove medicines from packaging.

As Elder are unable to direct, monitor or manage medication administration, with permission from the Care Recipient and/or Customer you should consult the prescriber
to ensure they are satisfied that the medication will be administered correctly by self-employed carer.
