As a self-employed carer, you will not be eligible to receive holiday or sick pay when finding work through Elder.

If you are working on a bank holiday* you will receive double pay for that day (excluding food allowance). You can find out when the bank holidays in the UK are here.

*Carers will only receive double pay for woking on a placement that has a Bank Holiday recognised in that country (i.e. carers working in Scotland will receive double pay on St Andrew’s Day, but carers working in England or Wales will not).
