From time to time, we will send text messages to eligible self-employed carers who might be interested in upcoming placement opportunities. The text will contain details about the placement location and start date, together with a link to the advert. If you are interested in the placement, please apply for it on the Elder Hub.

We ask that you only apply for placements that you’re able to commit to and once you’ve applied that you remain contactable. If your profile meets the placement criteria, the customer or a member of the Elder team might call or text you to discuss the placement further with you.

We understand plans change, and sometimes things are simply out of your control so it’s really important that you ensure your contact details are up to date in the Elder Hub.

If you are no longer available for a placement that you have applied for, please let us know by emailing us on [email protected] or sending us a message via Elder Chat, at your earliest convenience.

You can always check the status of your applications in the Elder Hub, and view your applications under the ‘placement’ tab.

Please note: Elder monitors placement cancellations for quality assurance purposes. Repeated cancellations will result in removal from the platform, so it’s important that you remain reliable and always let us know if your availability changes. You can read our carer standards here.
